So, this is not a design of general interest, and if fact, probably only appeals to artists with a political bent. Here’s the story. Todd Goldman of David and Goliath Tees has been accused of several counts of straight ripping off other people’s artwork to sell on shirts. Obviously, if these allegations are true, I’m totally against that. I mean, I’d love to be making the kind of bank he’s making, and I intend to try - but would never bite another artist’s design to get there.
If you want to see some writings about the alleged theft, you can see a discussion about it here: http://forum.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=2416213
And also see a comprehensive list of other bites Mr. Goldman’s company might have taken out of other people’s pies here:

Although, now that I think about it, maybe I hope Todd Goldman does steal my design. This is a new site, and I could use the publicity.
The images of David and Goliath (I know, I’m not very clever) are based on those in an illuminated manuscript from a Book of Days created between 1450 and 1499. A reference image can be seen at The New York Public Library’s Digital Gallery.
