Store upgrades and more

I just got done customizing the CafePress store component of this site, and making it better match the colors and layout of the blog here. I’m pretty tired and I’m calling it a night. My wife and I will be going to a community yard sale pretty early in the morning and I needs some Zzzs.
I’m almost done with the next drawing and I’ll be posting it in the morning.
It’s been a pretty busy week overall, what with beginning to promote this website, refining the layout, AND doing a new drawing every day. I’ve been checking out the sats, and things are looking pretty good. I’m averaging 50-60 unique visitors a day (HI!) and a decent amount of you come back, as well as check out more than one drawing while you’re here. That’s what I want you to do, and I’ve tried to layout the site to make that as easy as possible. If you have any ideas on how I can make it better, please let me know by using the contact link at the bottom of the left column.
A couple of other things I’ve changed on the site:
1. Made the link to the full store more obvious, for folks who want to see all the designs at one rather than using the interface I have here on the blog.
2. Moved the search box to the top of the right column, hoping that as I add more images, it’ll be easier for visitors to find older images.
Thanks to my sister for those suggestions.
3. I made adjustments to the right hand column, so all the thumbnail menus show 7 other posts. 7 seemed like a good metric, since I update daily, 7 posts makes it a round week. Just seemed symmetrical somehow.
I guess I’ll leave it at that for the time being. If you’re reading this, do me a solid and leave a comment on an image. I’d love to encourage that sort of thing. If any visitors have suggestions on how I can do that, please let me know.
Edit: DOH! Forgot to mention 2 crazy cool things. First, 2 of my designs were featured in the CafePress newsletter this week, AND I got my first t-shirt sale. My commission work out to one whole dollar for each month the site’s been up. One can only hope it’s a sign of things to come.
