L’git - Underground Boyband Champions ‘07

Folks, let me tell you something. There’s no doubt that as a cultural object, the modern boy band supergroup has a storied history. New Edition, New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, O-Town… and those are just the American ones… all have captured those records made of metal and those immature teenage girl hearts… But that’s only part of the story.
The World only knows of those Jordans and Jonns and Chrises because they SOLD OUT.
The truth is, deep inside boy band culture, there’s a darker underbelly. For every glossy product that you find in magazines and malls, there are hundreds more boy bands bleeding on the dance floors on the underground circuit. For every Nickelodeon kids’ choice award that a famous boy band wins, hundreds more do it for nothing more than the love of the game.
This is no video shoot, people. The moves are SO raw. The beats are SO phat. And when you’re there, on the street behind the supermarket - perhaps on the rooftop of an Arby’s - maybe on the 7th hole of an abandoned putt-putt course - WHEREVER the underground gathers to determine the best among their ranks…
The fact remains.
For the 8th year running, the Monster Squad of Fresh Steps and Fly Harmonies takes the title once again. There is no crew in the world that brings it like S’ean, Rudy, Patrikk, and Horace. Ladies and Gentlemen. I give you… L’git.
